Mike Simmonds has been in Christian ministry for nearly 30 years in a variety of contexts across the UK. Based in Essex he is married to Nikki and worships at a local Baptist Church. He has spent time in itinerant work as an interdenominational evangelist, been Head of Education and then Church Development at CARE followed by Director of Ministries of Viz-A-Viz Ministries. His story can be read by clicking here. Mike is working through GO MINISTRIES a portfolio of ministry which includes:
- Facilitating and training others to deliver the Bible Society ‘Making Good Sense of the Bible’ (hermeneutics) 10 week course in churches across England;
- writing – including courses, devotional material for teachers and ;
- preaching and speaking – on Sunday’s, Church Weekends and conferences by invitation, often using a multimedia approach for Bible teaching and inspirational teaching;
- networking with key Christian educators for The Stapleford Centre and developing a transforming Christian influence in education; and
- GOvernor Ministries: speaking at a variety of events and developing www.transforminggoverning.org.uk to support Christians who are or could become governors in all kinds of schools.
